About the room ...
The Baby Room is for babies and toddlers from the age of 3 months to approx. 2 years old. There is a maximum of 12 babies with a minimum 3:1 children to adult ratio with the continuity of staff a priority.
This is a bright and cheerful room which provides a stimulating environment for the babies. The emphasis is very much providing home from home care with lots of love, care and cuddles and we try to work closely with parents to ensure the babies routine is followed and they are provided with comprehensive information on their baby's day at nursery.
The Baby Room has recently seen further improvements following our staff attending a national "Baby Room Project 2011" training course.

The Early Years Foundation Stage framework is used to plan for children’s individual development and next steps.Through lots of play and interaction from carers, children are encouraged to explore the world of colour, shape and texture and to help in their first steps towards language development. We provide a large selection of toys including bricks, stacking toys, books, shape sorters and soft toys to encourage their gross and fine motor skills and co-ordination.
